New Management Sucks!

I don't know if anyone else has had the opportunity to renew their lease since Sawyer took over, but you will very quickly learn that they will raise your rent over a hundred dollars and they won't negotiate. Even for a resident who has been here for 5 years, I was told by the regional manager - Tony - that this was something to do with the rental market and some percentage they magically come up with - no explanation required. Also, maintenance has been horrible recently! They lost their supervisor - so no one knows what the heck is going on. You ask them what the status is on your apartment's work orders and they don't even know you and can't tell you when it will get done! They office is now a ghost town. I think the property manager, the bookkeeper and another guy are left. I don't know if Sawyer cleaned house, but the left these guys in the office stranded. It's weird to see all these desks in the office, but never anyone sitting at them. Since this new company Sawyer took over, I would suggest you rent else where. They are going to run this place into the ground very very quickly. It's a shame, I've enjoyed living here over the years, but I'm gone next month since they wouldn't negotiate my renewal and told me to plunge my own toilet when they couldn't figure out how to fix it.

People signing a new 12 month lease get a better rate then those that have some tenure with the complex and pay on time every month. They offered me a renegotiated price of 50 dollars less a month for my renewal, but that was going to be over 100 dollars more a month to start. Go to realator.com and find yourself a good rental with more space and about the same you are paying now.
