My wife and I have been living in this dump for nearly two years. Our intention was to stay for a year until we found a condo. However, since construction on our condo was delayed, we chose to renew our lease on a month-to-month basis. We were never really satisfied with the location or the previous management, and we are definitely dissapointed with the new management. To say the least, they're terrible. Our water heater has been replaced once and still doesn't generate enough hot water for two people to shower consecutively. Our sink facet only produces a decent amount of pressure when cold water is running. Our windows need replaced, which in turn contributes to higher energy bills in the summer and winter months. The two elevators in our buidling have been repaired multiple times since the beginning of 2006. One elevator is currently out and has been for nearly a month. Maintence is in the building every day, and somehow neglected to convey the outage to management. I've not met one person who either is or was happy with their living experience at Barton's Crossing. I was originally told that after a year I could enter into a six month lease agreement, to then be told that they no longer do six month leases. I was also dissapointed to learn that management wouldn't be accepting American Express as a form of payment (service fee) when they announced that tenants would be able to pay by credit card. Yet, they give away gift certificates for tenants to decorate their balcony. That worked well. Please, do yourself a favor and rent elsewhere.
