Pros and Cons

I moved in here about 2 months ago and thought I'd give my 2 cents about my experience so far.
PROS
1. Newer than many surrounding buildings/nice appearance outside and in lobbies
2. Pet friendly
3. Covered parking
4. Secured entrances
5. Renovated kitchens very nice (but more $)
6. Relatively quiet
7. W/D in unit
8. Convenient location
9. No roaches (I've read other apt ratings)
10. Safe- I don't walk my dog at night, but otherwise, doesn't really seem bad (coming from single female), don't know the neighbors but people seem ok and friendly
CONS
1. EXPENSIVE- ridiculously high rent (even for the NOVA area) for probably the smallest apts around!! my 1 bedroom is smaller than some studios. that said though, still seemed worth the extra money
2. Garage and stairways hot, smelly, filthy
3. Maintenance- takes long time to respond, don't know when they'll show up
4. Management- some are grumpy
5. Lack of guest parking
6. Tiny pool
7. Poop- dog owners often don't pick up
8. Poor lighting in some areas
Yes, I have listed many cons, the biggest being rent. However, in my search for a dog friendly apt with a washer/D in unit, B Crossing was by far the obvious choice.
