CURRENT TENANTS BEWARE - - BAD EXPERIENCE

I was a resident for four years and left in March 2007. On my departure I was told that no walk through would be required. BIG MISTAKE! I left my keys and departed. I just received notice from a collection agency that an outstanding balance was sent to them for colledtion. Although I provided a forwarding address, I never was notified that there was a balance due. I called Barton's Crossing and was told they had no idea what the balance was for. Upon checking with the collection agency, I found out I was being charged for the preparation of the apartment for the next tennant. Apparently management at Barton's Crossing does not allow for fair wear and tear since I was a tennant for four years. I also found that Barton's Crossing mailed out the billing to my address at Barton's Crossing...GO FIGURE! Wonder why it didn't get to me.
