So Far So Good

This is my first apartment, and my first time living in the DC Metro area. The apartment is decent for the size. It could be bigger but we weren't willing to pay the extra money. The first real problem we have is there is the one ceiling light in the living room is extremely low wattage. We've had to buy additional lighting in order to see anything. We can also hear an occasional creak from upstairs neighbors, but mostly the neighbors right next to us we can hear their shower and water noises. Whenever there is water rushing through the pipes we can hear it very clearly. When we first moved in, the light bulb was blown in the closet (they guarantee all the lights will be good when you move in or they will replace them for you). We told them about it when we first moved in, and after a week or so of no results we contacted them again. A maintenance person finally came around with a lightbulb for us. Other than that the maintenance has been very prompt. One time our neighbors had some sort of a bathroom problem and our bathroom ceiling began leaking water at 12:30 am. We called emergency maintenance and they responded within 20 minutes. They fixed the problem, and had a contractor come to fix the ceiling and wall within two days.
Our neighbors have been friendly. The pool is nice. Parking is excellent.
