Nice place, a bit modest, but very satisfactory.

Modest digs (an older facility with good up-keep), but clean and serviceable. Staff lives on site, and many have been here years (!). Quick response on the few move-in complaints , and later an immediate response (Sunday evening) on a broken toilet flusher chain. Managment staff didn't give me any run-arounds, and I was able to view a number of apartments prior to selection. A 5-7 minute walk to Huntington Metro gets me to work at Crystal City quickly (though you must walk through a park with a marginally lighted ball field and about 100 yards of woods) - but the Metro Police are right next door. Diverse renters - retirees, military and government workers, young professional, very many nationalities - but all seem friendly and I feel comfortable. One building (mine) allows small pets - I have none - and I have no issues so far with niose, poop on the grounds, or smells. Kids are in my building, but no noisy ones. All in all, after one month, I find this suitable for the seven or so months I will be here. I would recommend Belle Haven to friends. Will update if situation changes.
