If you decide to live here, you have to be VERY careful about rent. I had to pay a week late one month and communicated that with the rental office. Nonetheless, two weeks AFTER I paid my rent, I got a Summons to go to court for an amount of $1000 more than my original monthly rent on an amount that I had already paid!

The roach infestation is ridiculous. I've had my apartment sprayed three times in the past 4 months, but it doesn't seem to matter. I don't even know where they come from. I've come to the conclusion with all the reviews that the apartment complex must have originally built for roaches instead of humans!

As for the maintenence, I am definitely a good reviewer on this topic. My garbage disposal works rarely, and instead of replacing it they have done a quick fix 5 times already. When I moved in there were urine stains all over the carpet, missing blinds, and dead roaches under the sink. Since then I've had to call maintenence repeatedly...outlets not working, plaster not painted over, etc. They usually respond promptly, which is one plus. However, one man in particular is extremely RUDE. Also, they rarely knock before entering...I've been getting dressed in the bathroom two times to come out to a maintenence person roaming about my apartment freely.

Basically, this has been my first rental experience in the DC area. It has been awful, and I hope nobody has to go through it. If BHT were to pay me to live there after my lease was over, there is still no chance in he!! that I would ever renew it.
