I have lived here for almost 3 years. When I first arrived the staff (Rhonda) took great care in everything regarding my new apartment. I didn't have any problems for atleast 7 months, however, all of a sudden I had a HUGE ROACH PROBLEM (and they were big mean buggers!)that WOULD NEVER GO AWAY! I had them spray very often, but since I lived by the trash chute, the roaches were a plenty as neighbors CONSTANTLY LEFT leaking trash bags, pizza boxes, etc. and wouldn't put it down the chute! Also, the TRAFFIC IS A HUGE PROBLEM, as we are right by 495...every am and pm its gridlock to get over the 495 bridge, as most people are trying to get to the highway..going thru OLD TOWN southbound is bumper to bumper from 3pm-7pm almost every day...did I mention the major CONSTRUCTION'
Noisy neighbors was a noticable problem, always very loud in the hallway at all hours. I later moved into a bigger apartment with some roomates for more space, however although I loved the spacious apartment, the NOISE LEVEL increased as I was by the main entrance. The front door to the lobby always slams shuts hard -waking me often! Trash is still a problem as people cannot put their trash down the chutes regularly....even though I live on a new floor! Parking is always available @ all hours, although u may have to hike to your apartment, easy access to metro (but its a scary not well lit pathway). 24 hour laundry room a plus...GREAT MAILMAN...however, one BIG PROBLEM is the as of late rude manangement entering my apartment WITHOUT KNOCKING!!
So overall, I really enjoyed most of my stay here...however, this past year I have decided its not for me...the constant raising in rent each year (the rental office is quite unfair even w/extenuating circumstances) they tried to fine me $1000 and gave me a soon to be evicted notice after 1 day late payment!!! I had to pay court fees...even though I paid them 1 day late!!
Roaches ARE QUITE THE PROBLEM...very diverse community, with LOUD KIDS, AND PARENTS WHO DO NOT WATCH THEIR KIDS! Big applause for Rhonda in the rental office, and Max maintence they are the only ones who care!

I recommend this place if you aren't home very often, b/c if you like LOTS OF QUIET, this isn't your place, noisy hallways, loud kids, old appliances,often reving of engines, issues to consider if you live on the bottom levels, roach problem, but bigger problem on low and middle levels! and people always looking in your windows as they walk to their cars is ANNOYING! Honestly, I've lived in much worse, but the crime around here isn't worth the rising rents! I'd look elsewhere!
