This was one of the cheaper studios I could find in NOVA. Overall it is has been an okay experience but I will certanily be moving out when my lease expires.
I live in one of the older buildings (6040) and there is a Roach problem. My apt is clean but I live right near the trash chute which probably doesn't help. Exterminators did spray a few times which actually seemed to help long-term.
Other problems include the halls and particularly the elevators stinking like Asian/Middle Eastern food every night. There are also lots of kids running around during the day. However, the noise level at night is pretty low.
The location has no character - just a bunch of hotels. Decent grocery shopping down the street.
There is no central air in my building and the built-in wall unit is worthless.
Staff was responsive to any maintence requests.
Overall, it wasn't a horrible experience but I want to move to somewhere nicer.

I'm a renter here in 6040 too and I couldn't have put it any better. There is also a bad RAT problem. Have seen a few scurrying in my apartment and am now using rat poison under my sink. They sure love the stuff!
