My husband and I have lived in Bolling Brook since 2004 and we've never had any of the bad experiences reported here in some of the other reviews. We live in the garden apartments, which are situated on a quiet piece of hilly land right next to a city park. We love being able to walk to Shirlington and other shops, and love having a short commute to DC for work. We have come to know our neighbors over the years, and really enjoy the sense of community here. There are some maintenance projects that we are anxious to see completed (a new sign, remodeling the exterior and interior entrances of all the buildings -- which is what keeps the price down), but the inside of our unit was redone right before we moved in. You'll be hard-pressed to find units this large, with a washer and dryer and access to a pool and a park in a safe neighborhood. Before moving here, we lived in NW DC and Arlington -- where we had two car break-ins and three bikes stolen -- and we have never had any problems with crime here.
