Brookdale is a good place to live

I have lived at Brookdale for over 4 years and have found it a good place to live. A few of the PROS and CONS I encountered while living at Brookdale are as follows:
PROS
Cost ? You will be hard pressed to find a better value inside the beltway.
Apartment Complex ? Garden Style apartments provide a better quality of living than High Rise apartments. Also, Brookdale is built around a park so trees and grass are plentiful.
Location ? Easy access to route 395 and DC by car (NOTE: I don?t use the metro).
Service ? Never had a problem with the Brookdale maintenance and/or office staff (and I have dealt with them quite a bit).
CONS
Laundry Room - 3 washers/2 dryers?.I?m still scratching my head over this one. As a result, I usually go to a laundry mat to do my laundry.
PROS and CONS
Parking ? If you are a resident, you will have no problem finding a parking space late at night. However, if you plan to have a few friends over guest parking can be a pain in the a**. Towing rules are strictly enforced.
Security ? I am a male and I live on the top floor in my building so I feel perfectly safe about walking around Brookdale and/or into my apartment late at night. However, I did have my car was broken into and my radio was stolen. Increased police patrols help in the short term, but stiffer penalties need to be give to the A-Holes who commit these infractions.
Bugs - I initially had bug problems in my apartments, but have been fine for the past 2 years. Some of the complaints that I have read may no longer be applicable since Brookdale now uses gels rather than sprays for bugs. I also like the fact that I do not have to empty all my cabinets prior to a bug treatment like I used to have to do.
Noise Levels ? Really depend on your neighbors. I live on the top floor of my building so I don?t have to worry about neighbors above me, but the walls are a little thin. However, the Brookdale staff has been helpful to me when I had to file an occasional noise complaint.
