I'm just going to sum it up like it is...
VERY CONVENIENT (5 min away from my work, walking distance to elementary schools)
1. $$$ - Apartments are too expensive, doesn't live up to the price but very spacious. Not enough (dilapidated) exercise equipment(s).

2. ROOF - Had roofing problems from month 1 of move-in, woke up @ 3am to water raining down on me over my bed literally...Mgmt did a quickie patch-up work and the problem re-visited me again like 2 mnts later, woke up again to rain falling down on me while I was sleeping...got another cheap patch up work done. Great maintenance staff.

3. TOWING/PARKING TICKETS (Vultures) You have to hunt for parking & hike a mile back to your apartment in poorly lit areas - not good. TOO MANY CARS, Should've built an underground parking structure or build different garage levels (floors) to accomodate all the cars or something.
-Got my car towed (even though it had a temp-tag), Mgmt was nice, didn't have to pay to get it back but had to miss work & pay a taxi to go get it.
-Got ticketed 3x ($35ea.), 2 for parking & not moving in time and 1 just because I didn??t do my emissions sticker fast enough for ALX PD, switched over Lic plate (MD to VA) on Thurs & got ticketed that Sat morning at 6:50AM for not having the emissions sticker(had everything else) which I planned to do that following Monday??I swear you would think Alexandria Police have something better to do (may-be solve some crimes or something')than drive up & down a dead-end street looking at cars'!

4. OLD PIPES/POOR WORKMANSHIP ?? Toilet is constantly running (making a disturbing noise), thank goodness I only pay for Electricity! Inconsistent Hot & Cold temperatures while showering. Door Knobs on Bedroom and Bathroom doors not matched up so doors can't close or lock. Closet doors falling apart.
5. Seen 1 tiny roach so far, sure there's plenty more where that came from.

Looking to move as we speak...been renting for a while...not sure if there's much better out there. If there is - too pricey.
