Please pay close attention when you renew your lease.

In my situation, there was a $150 amenity fee (& I did ask & was told it included trash) which was added to my rent of which you could make a one-time payment of, or pay $10 monthly. I chose $10 monthly installments. When it was time to renew my lease-I did, and thought it was the same scenario of the updated rent plus the $150 amenity fee which I was used to paying in $10 monthly installments, but the lease had changed; & it was my fault for not thoroughly reading through the lease, but in my defense I've lived here like 5yrs and never had anything change on my renewal lease and if it did they would point it out. Well, I should have paid closer attention, because lo and behold I am finding out upon moving out that this $10 that I chose to pay monthly & thought was part of the $150 amenity/trash fee was cleverly incorporated into the bottom of my renewal lease as a "New" MANDATORY TRASH FEE and no one bothered to point this out, along with the $150 amenity fee. WHAT A RIP-OFF! I was already paying $1140 for an OVER-PRICED One Bedroom Apt. So now this 1Br Mice infested apartment was costing me $1140 monthly plus an additional $270 a year($120 plus 150). RENTERS BEWARE & ALERT!
