We've been living here at Brookville Townhomes for just about 6 mos. and guess what'' It's time to go! First of all, the bugs from the summer until now have been awfully disgusting. We are very clean tenants (clean every Sunday--scrubbing, mopping to the point where this place looks pristine from the inside because of our cleaning), and still, we find spiders, HUGE crickets and the like. We also had a roach problem and we DID NOT BRING THEM WITH US NOR WILL WE LEAVE WITH THEM!!! Neighbors are not willing to get to know you at all. They kind of look out their windows and stare at you, that's about it. The dust this place collects is awful. Leasing told us they would clean out the airducts before we signed the lease...well guess what''' We ended up paying $400.00 to have all of the ducts clean and found out that the ducts haven't been cleaned for nearly thirty years!!! The dust piled in the ducts (and we measured it with a ruler) was over five inches....NO JOKE!!!! And believe me, there is no reason for us to lie about this. We even took pictures just to prove this so if ever we have a court case or something, we'll have the proof. The upstairs toilet is always acting up. Water overflows and then you have this banging sound like a motor running inside of the walls. Still don't know what it is. Last but not least, I don't care what anybody says...I believe our place is inhabiting others. That's all I'm going to say. Considering Alexandria is an historic landmark, I wouldn't doubt if these tenements are a bit spooked. I've had my share of "strange happenings" in this house and it did enough to me to convince me heavily that it is definitely time to go!!! Nonethe less, we are out of here in three weeks!!!!
