I've lived here for about a year now and it's been pretty good overall. The only reason I'm leaving is to get a place w/out roomates.
We've had a couple of routine problems (clogged bathtub, leaky toilet, etc), and the management came the next day and fixed them. The building is in good shape, and I rarely hear my neighbors. Sometimes just a couple footsteps or muffled voices, but really nothing bad at all. Maybe I just have quiet neighbors . . .
The kitchens are beautiful (make sure to get one of the updated units) and spacious, rent is good, and the attic is really useful for storage. The location has always seemed safe to me, and I've never had any problems. It's convenient to shopping, and metrobus stops, as well as 395 and the beltway. The only bug problem I've had is ants during the summer, but it's almost completely isolated to the dishwasher, and spreading some insect killer outside the house seemed to help some. But nothing gross like cockroaches or anything.
I'd definitely recommend this development for anyone looking for affordable housing that is a decent distance to DC (about a 45 minute commute by bus-to-rail or driving).
