What attracted me to this community were things that were NOT like most apartment communities today. First there are no apartments, only townhomes, less problems. Second, you have to pay your own water, gas, and electric; so you can use them whenever you like, not controlled by landlord, so you don't freeze in the winter or burn in the summer while the landlord waits to turn the systems on whenever they feel like it. Third, the surroundings are very natural, there's are park, bike path jogging trail, you can walk to the coffee houses near the lake in Cameron Station, and do shopping at the New Harris Teeter Grocery store that they are building in Foxchase. Many apartments today are concrete jungles no natural surroundings, people above you, below you, you have no backyard to use. Brookville is a very old fashioned type neighborhood. I recently moved from a nearby community and believe me your surroundings are just as important as the inside of your apartment, you also pay for what you get. Although not cheap by any means; you dollar is well spend here just for the peace of mind you have. There are reasons why other communities are lower priced, don't find out the hard way like I did. uWDgQKY3Vkv8FKIsB8Ax

i would just like to say i live in a lovely alexandria apartment community. my apartment is surrounded by nature and trees all around, birds and squirrels around and very peaceful. so all apartments are not concrete jungles.
