I guess the designers back in the 1950's knew something that others still have not figured out yet. How to build a community that does not feel like an apartment community. Small town feel, well built townhomes, no apartments. A sense of homeownership, this is a place to live before you purchase, if you ever decided to purchase. You pay your own water, gas, & electric, which teaches you how to budget, and also lets you enjoy use of your own private, heat, a/c, water, usage, your not hooked up to anyone elses house or to some main boiler system. It really teaches you how it would be if you owned your own home, except without the maintenance costs. Truly a product built way before it's time, and the reason why it continues to be successful today.
