Depressing

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
Lived there for 1 year; decent sized kitchen; washer and dryer in unit; not a finished basement as advertised (painted cinderblock walls); basement floods; lots of MOLD. Layers of paint on the walls, probably helps with the "soundproofing;" makes it difficult to hang up pictures. 3 bedrooms should have been advertised as 2 bedrooms and a "walk-in closet or office;" had a hard time fitting a single bed in there!
During the first week I moved in, one of the florescent lights in the basement was being held together by a Lego; The toilet in the top floor bathroom flooded down into the main floor bathroom and left a hole in the ceiling, which had to stay open until it dried out- it was sealed 1 week later and was painted a week after that. The flood was caused by a previous tenant s child flushing down a toy doll (amongst other things as later discovered). There was also a natural gas leak that had to be repaired; the counter unit closest to the fridge fell off the wall.
No rear yard = no privacy; Stray cats and raccoons wonder the courtyard and knock over trashcans, ripping up trash bags.
Parking is impossible with larger vehicles.
Pro s for homes on Holmes Run Parkway- traffic sound is minimal, and there is a park nearby.
