I'm thinking of moving here in the fall, and I'm looking for honest opinions about this place. I've already been out to view the model and am returning this weekend to see one of the 'real' townhouses. It seems that a lot of people here are complaining about the management, but I'm worried about things like pests, neighborhood safety, and the parking situation -- things that I wish I knew about the place I'm living now before I moved in. I've lived here since '05. My corner of Brookville has been quiet up until last summer ('07). Since then I have seen the police here 1 too many times for my comfort. I was scared to the point of wanting to leave but couldn't afford the ridiculous fee they charge for breaking the lease. It's not ghetto (yet), but it seems to be going downhill fast. Carry some mace and get alarms for your doors--just in case. As for pests, yes this place has bugs just waiting to get into your home. Mostly because of ill fitting doors and window screens. I've had to remain extra vigilent to keep them out. But its not the worst I've ever experienced. There is an exterminator here once a week. As for parking, I've never had a problem. My neighbors constantly break the rules about parking more than 1 car in the alley, but I always seem to get a spot. So no real complaint there. They are serious about towing though, so if you have a lot of guests let them know to park on the street-for real! As for the management, just keep copies of ALL paperwork you get from them. Keep a written record of any transactions or maintenance requests. They are not always on the ball.

Yes there are bugs, parking is not a problem. Management is is incompetent!!!!!!!! I can't stress that enough - Look elsewhere!

DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! The management will not take care of you at all. Your car will be towed for ridiculous reasons time and time again costing you $125 each time for something you had no idea you were even doing wrong. There was a robbery here in June at which a resident was walking up to his house from the parking lot at night and he was approached by two guys each holding a gun up to him and demanded all his money. The management chose not to alert it's residents of this incident stating they did not know how "legit" the claim was even though there was a police report filed and everything. This is the tip of the iceberg of what kind of treatment you will receive from the management. I hope you have not moved in already as you will definitely regret that decision immediately.
