Pros:
Close to DC, Good price for the square footage compared to other properties (nothing in Alexandrina is very cheap at all). Maintenance team is good. It is safe and it's quiet. The grounds are well kept.
Cons:
Management needs to be fired and replaced. They loose documents, they give attitude, they take forever giving referral fees, they don't respond to complaints in a timely manner. We have a neighbor who has a special contract with them that they don't honor almost to the point of breech of contract. You have to have them put EVERY WORD IN WRITING or you will get screwed over. Write it down. They are neither friendly or trustworthy. This is fact and I pray my review helps someone else, I don't mean to just put them down. They used to be a GREAT management! they would organize friendly meetings and gatherings, they were kind and responsive. Then the current management moved in and it has been a total nightmare. Also they will probably get on and try to say they are not that bad (they respond to postings on this site, but not to written or spoken complaints to the office... go figure).
BEWARE: TOWING/BROOKVILLE PARKING POLICIES ARE HORRIBLE AND UNREASONABLE! We have paid over 500$ in ridiculous towing expenses that Brookville/Towing company refuse to retract. Everyone I know who lives here has been towed at least twice for something trivial so it is not just me: they tow for such egregious parking violations as "having the correct sticker in the wrong place", "not having a updated city tag" (isn't that the CITIES JOB'), "parking over the line by small amounts" (less than a foot, causing no parking obstructions), "pending city inspection (not even a violation by city standards)", "Temporary parking pass", "Parking legally in sections they don't own", "parking inches (bumper) in the yellow zone", "parking short term out of the blocks", "expired tags", THE LIST GOES ON: literally anything wrong. The towing company is TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. They are rude, don't listen to reason, target individuals with whom they have a particular beef, they are like police searching for someone to tow. We have reported them to the Better Business Bureau for severe unethical practices. There is not at all enough parking to accommodate the residents which is perfect for the over-zealous towing company with whom Brookville is in cahoots. I wonder how much Brookville makes on towing from the company.
So once you add the absurd towing expense and wasted time in your monthly budget, the price is actually not that much better than anywhere else.
Other cons: The homes are old, the bathrooms are WAY small, the AC breaks all the time.

This review says it all. As a 3 year resident of this complex, I have had no complaints and in fact referred a number of people to live here because it really is a convenient place to live. But ever since this management came in things have gone downhill rapidly and will continue to go down until Dreyfuss gets smart and fires this staff. I would never refer anyone to live here ever again no matter how much money the office offers up as a referral bonus which I might add you have to fight them for week after week. 2 of the 4 referral bonuses we were to receive from Brookville did not arrive at our house until 1 year after the resident we referred had moved in. I can't even tell you how many times we talked to them about the status of our checks and was told time and time again that it was submitted and on it's way which of course was never true. Just goes to show you the integrity of this management. They hope that you just forget about it and they won't have to pay you.
