I am absolutely DISGUSTED by the removal of our beautiful trees here at Brookville. Brookville management does not care about their residents or the enviroment. The beautiful landscape was the biggest reason for my move to Brookville. It is unfair for them to drastically change it without even informing their residents!!We keep our end of the deal by paying our rent every month, they should keep theirs! We need to speak out! Force them to listen. Before we know it, they will just pour cement over the entire courtyards! If we wanted to live in a complex where all we see is parking lots outside of our windows, thats where we would have rented!

Excuse me. We'll do what we like. If you don't like it, then please move.

The trees made this neighborhood wonderful. They made up for the age of the units and all of the problems. The attitude of the "anonymous" poster (obviously of the staff) is unfortunate. To that poster---do you know what will happen when all of us good tenants move out because the place has changed so radically? Brookville will become a ghetto and YOUR problems will be tenfold. So go on...do what you like. I hope lots of prospective renters see your post.

I agree, they should let us know before hand. I came home one day and I thought I was in the wrong building; they had chopped off two beautiful trees infront of the area where I used to see lots of different birds and squirrels playing and although I don't miss the loud chirping of the birds early in the morning, those trees were beautiful. I'm sure their reason for chopping those trees is so that it doesn't break off and land on the townhouses but it would be nice to get a heads notice.

We noticed the destruction of trees in other courtyards late last fall and were dismayed. When they came around and marked trees and bushes in our courtyard, we wrote letters and voiced our disgust with phone calls to both the management (Brookville) and the parent company (Dreyfuss). Moreover, we distributed letters to the rest of our courtyard neighbors encouraging them to voice concern of the removal of wonderful shade-providing and character-rich trees. Something must have convinced them to stop tearing down trees, since we haven't seen any change since then, but our trees still are painted with big orange x's or wrapped with orange tape. But I don't know how much I trust them to stay away from the trees. I hope I am wrong.

I agree, the staff's attitude is outrageous. The quality of tenants has changed drastically (for the worse) since I moved in here. I've seen cops at several units looking for the tenants. Always nice to be woken up to several uniformed officers in bullet-proof vests pounding on the neighbor's door at 6 a.m. I miss the old Brookville.
