We move here in March 2008. Compared to where we used to live, this place is a dream. Our courtyard is absolutely charming and even as I type, I'm looking out over our lovely azaleas. Yes, it's on the smallish side, but my husband and I opted for the two bedroom vs 3 bedroom and so our master bedroom is very spacious. We also have turned the basement into a den. The neighbors are friendly. Most of the immediate neighbors are either young with small children or older and headed towards retirement (like we are). We love to walk the path on Holmes Run. Even though we live close to Van Dorn and 395, we don't hear it. The birds wake us up in the morning. No, I'm not a manager in disguise. Our front door paint is chipping just like everyone elses. Parking can be a problem from many of the cars that are not authorized to park on the street closest to the buildings. Sometimes the office staff does seem preoccupied. We miss Terry. But considering the rent in the rest of Alexandria, this place is a STEAL! And close to shops like Harris Teeter, Landmark mall, and BJs.
