I am not a resident of this establishment nor am I employed by Carlyle Place or any of its affiliates. My daughter and I have visited as a prospective tenant and I couldn't set by and not express what an excellent place this is.

When we toured this complex, we arrived around 4:30ish p.m. and everything was really quiet. The lobby is a little smaller than their sister company next door but still immaculate. When we toured an actual unit, I thought the bedroom(s) were a little bit smaller than I would have thought or liked but it was doable. The living room, dining room, and bathroom (which has stackable washer/dryer in a closet door) was nice in size. But the kitchen, oh the kitchen was something of absolute beauty from it's granite counter tops, nice kitchen fixtures, and SS appliances (built-in microwave, smooth (flat) range oven, and refrigerator with freezer door at the bottom). I just felt as though I could stay forever. To top it all off, some utilities are included in the rent. I believe as a tenant, you would be responsible for basic electric, phone, cable, and internet but you would need to check with their leasing office to confirm.

Their building amenities were great as well: The pool and the grounds surrounding it were well manicured, the fitness center contained equipment with individual tv's attached, and their community center was awesome.

It seemed as though every piece of the building was very secure because as a tenant you could only access via using the "flash pass key card" given when you move in.

The staff (from the Concierge to the Asst. Property Manager (Tim) to even the folks at their Leasing/Management office {Kim, Shanae, Troy, Ms. Castan-Smith}) are all professionals and have superb customer service skills. Whether it was in person, via email, or over the phone, they were always quick to respond and assist with whatever questions/concerns I might have. I commend them all for a job well-done and I believe alot of leasing offices can learn from this group.

For those of you who might still be undecided, this place is well with the time, money, and effort and think about the extra perks: Ruby Tuesday, StarBucks, Coldstone Creamery, and the Movie theater are within walking distance. The Eisenhower Metro is steps away (during the course of my visit, I couldn't hear one train go by) or you could walk a couple of blocks and you're at King Street Metro into the heart of Old Towne Alexandria.

You might ask then, why don't I apply' Well, I did but unfortunately, I didn't qualify.

If I could rate this community on a scale of 1-10, I would give them a 9 (I gave this # b/c I felt as though the bedroom size could be larger but maybe it was the floorplan that made it so small).

This is the place to be and I'm sure you'll enjoy!

This posting seems awfully suspicious. Only people who have at least stayed in the building know what it's really like. And this review is detailed and persuasive for a potential leasing visitor. Is this rating here to boost their review score into the *0% range.

This posting shouldn't be suspicious at all; otherwise, why would I put my personal email address. The rating that I gave Carlyle Place was and is factual based on what I saw and by no means would I give an apartment community a good rating if I didn't feel as though they deserved it. My daughter and I did indeed look at these apartments (we went on a viewing of the actual unit with the Asst. Property Mgr. and also viewed the various amentities that Carlyle Place had to offer). In addition, I asked several questions of the Manager as a potential tenant but unfortunately, we weren't approved to rent. If you would like to email me direct, I am open to responding. Otherwise, go and see for yourself what it's like there. Everyone has the right to their own opinions and I stand by my ratings of this complex.
