Community has maintenance problems. Very slow to respond. Called for emergency work order. Maintenance replied to page within 1/2 hour, but did not come to check.

Background: I moved in last weekend. I have a problem with the bathroom ceiling that was caused by a flood in the bathroom in apt above mine about 2 weeks ago. Upstairs tenants moved out. Was told by apt manager that the painters were supposed to come by and fix the ceiling almost every day this week. Maintenance supervisor said that it would be fixed by this coming Monday. This was all before the ceiling collapsed around 7:30 this evening (06/22/07.)

And... the apt was just renovated.

If you didn't like it why did you move in? The prices are reasonable. I have lived here for almost a year. I have had no problems. And anything that needs done gets completed immediately. Maybe you should think about moving...

I like the area and this apt is affordable. The problem stems from the contractors that the complex uses. The manager does what she can to get the work orders in, but she is at the whims of the outside workers. All of my problems stem from the previous tenants of the apt directly above mine. THEY WERE ABSOLUTE PIGS!!! The upstairs apt is crawling with roaches, and they are spreading through the rest of the bldg.

In response to Anonymous: I live there as well, in that same apartment. When we looked at the apartment, everything was 100% FINE. How were we to know that the upstairs neighbors (who moved out just before we moved in) were terrible tenants, and how we were to know they were going to over flow thier tub? How were we to know that the maintenance was going to take well over 2 weeks to repair our ceiling, after we called EVERY DAY to complain that the ceiling was sagging and probably going to give way? Whoever you are you really need to get over yourself and get off of your high horse. YOu dont know anything about our situation, so I would suggest you keep your unuseful and uneducated comments to yourself! BTW... I will be typing up a FULL review of this apartment, and every last thing we have had to endure our first two months living there, including homeless squatters living in the UNLOCKED, vacant apartment above us. There are no excuses for that, and many other things that have gone on since we have lived there.
