Had a short-term rental here. The rent and fees changed several times on the phone, and additional charges were added when we arrived from out of state to sign the the lease and move in. It was explicitly a short-term lease and we were charged extra fees because of this. Yet when we moved out on the scheduled date, attempts were made to charge 1.5 months additional rent for not providing 2 months notification on a 3 month lease (actually only in the apartment for 2.5 months). It appears that our deposit was never placed in escrow, nor was a copy of the signed lease provided until we were about to move out. Had a very clear impression of this being a very tricky operation waiting to trap renters.

They're still trying to collect from me for insufficient notice when I broke my lease due to the cockroaches, among other things. They just don't get it! They fool you and trick you...
