i'm sure i don't quite understand those who wrote such rave reviews for this place (makes me wonder if they were not written by someone at dittmar co.) i suppose people are becoming more and more content with ---- rules and regulations. NO PARKING for the guests (even though there are more than enough spaces), NO PLAYING OR WALKING ON GRASS (you have got to be kidding me), NO KIDS TOYS ON BALCONY (what do you need a balcony for if you can't even let your kids play on it'') basically, they should just tell people with kids that they are not welcome here. but they don't tell you about all these retarded rules until the day you come to pick up keys and it's a little to late to back out. and the best part... then rent out units and then inform tenants 2 months later that their building is scheduled for renovation..so, pretty please, with sugar on top, move the hell out. in my case, they did not even care that by then i'd have a newborn baby to move the hell out with... anything for a buck, so not nice!!!!

I do agree that Edlandria is not as kid-friendly as some other places, and you should have been informed up front. I am a twenty-something working adult with no children, so many of those rules do not affect me (wasn't even aware of some of them, actually!). Guess passes would be nice for parking, as there are plenty of parking spots out beyond those in front of the building entrances; I usually have family who stay over park on the street, but it is a hassle to drive them back to their cars in the morning. |

I have been living at Edlandria for 18 yrs. and BELIEVE ME, when they had guest parking - it was chaos. I lived here and I was walking across Edsall Road at 11pm because the lot was so full. Just ask Jesse in the office why they did away with it. He'll explain it and you will agree. TRUST ME!!!

We lived at Edlandria from November 1996 until April 1998. We loved it there - responsive maintenance, best floorplan we've had in an apartment ever, good price. However, we too fell victim to the "we're renovating, get out" thing and moved across the street to a rented condo. Our only complaint there was that there weren't enough washers and dryers in the basement and if they'd had better accomodations while renovating than "move into an entirely unrenovated unit for 6 months or take a month's rent and get out" we probably would have stayed and been happy to have a w/d in unit instead. Sadly it sounds like later renovations have mucked with the floorplan in a bad way. The master bedroom was very large when we lived there, we had a king sized bed and had no problems having space for it, side tables and three dressers. |
