Edlandria apartments are really great. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. Most people who gave "bad" reviews on this site were mainly concerned with the size of the bedrooms, etc. I personally have not found that to be the case. Sure it's not a mansion, but I have the master bedroom and I was able to fit a queen-size sleigh bed, a dresser, and a bookcase and I still have a corner that needs some filling up. There is a huge walk in closet and a good sized bathroom both attached to the master bedroom. The other bedroom is smaller, but my roommate has managed to fit a twin-sized day-bed, a tall bookshelf, a desk, and she'll be getting a dresser soon. That room also has one whole wall that is a closet - so there's tons of closet space in there. The living room is large and spacious, we have a full sized sofa and loveseat, coffee table, two end tables, an entertainment shelving unit and large speakers on either side of that. There is plenty of room. In the dining room we have a small set of tables and chairs, but the room could have easily fit a table with a leaf or two in it. The Kitchen is small (i think) - but it boasts a full size washer and dryer, so I can overlook the fact that there's not much cabinet and counter space. There is also a closet in the living room, a linen closet in the hallway and another full bathroom that is actually bigger than the master bathroom. (and there's a BIG balcony) The apartments were just renovated too. New carpet, painting, tile, doors, cabinets, counter tops, vanity, appliances (dishwasher/fridge/washer/dryer/microwave/stove), faucets - Pretty much EVERYTHING. There is also individual heating and cooling in each apartment and in each bedroom! Everything was clean when I moved in, and I am extremely happy that I found this place. It has been great - the staff has been great - the maintanence was quick when we had a problem (my bathroom outlet wasn't working) and there are no cockroaches! If you're bringing a bike there is a storage facility near the rental office that offers sucure storage, there is also a *tiny* gym with a couple of machines - and Pets' no dogs or cats, but small animals (guinea pigs/birds/etc) that don't need to be walked outside are allowed. The rent is $1445/month for a two bedroom, utilities ARE included, and I didn't have to pay for the first month! (b/c of a deal they were running) There is a bus stop by the apartment (1/2 block) and the metro is a little over a mile (not exactly walkable). Parking isn't too bad i guess - no overnight parking for guests - and even though I don't have a car, there's plenty of parking space for tenants. Garbage is taken out yourself. There are dumpsters at ends of the parking lot, the grounds are safe - I've seen some cops/security patrolling the area on foot. I really don't think there's anything I've forgotten... So far it has been great - clean, hardly any noise (apparently when they renovated more noise barriers were installed) and I really don't think i could have found ANYTHING better. I would recommend the complex and believe that i'll be staying here for a long while. :)
