Edlandria is 100% lame. They are so anal about the parking that it's ridiculous. Some of the other posts talk about how parking was bad before they had all these rules, but the rules are ridiculous. For example, the entire parking situation could be solved by painting numbers in each of the spaces and assigning them to a unit. Instead, they choose to be ridiculously anal about what car is parked in the lot. Who cares if you borrowed your hobbit cousin's car because your's was in the shop' You're still only taking the one space that you are paying for. Seriously. And the towing, it's ridiculous. If you get a new car, and you switch the sticker they'll tow you instead of giving you a little freindly notice they go straight to towing. I'm saying, it's not like you took someone else's spot.. as long as you have the stupid sticker on your car you should be able to park whatever car that sticker is on.

also they have this even more retarded rule that says that the car you park MUST be registed in your name or in the name of someone on the lease. so if you have been driving around your uncle's old datsun, you can't park it here, you have to get the title changed and all that nonsense. It's ridiculously all up in your business. I mean so what if you are a deadbeat and can't afford your own car and resort to driving your uncle's beater. What does that have to do with anything, as long as you have the bloody sticker that's all that should matter.

Also on a side note the cops here walk around like they are saving the world from terrorism. I really doubt that Osama Bin Laden wants to have anything to do with Edlandria.. there is no need for them to stare at everyone like they are a terrorist. When in reality they are only busy getting the legitimate residents towed.. quite lame, no'

Also some people complain about the noise. The guy downstairs from us is always yelling at 7am. I mean that's not edlandria's fault, but no one wants to wake up to some dude yelling "F You" on the phone at 7am.. just something to look out for. Make sure to ask for the building without the yelly neighbor in the basement. I would post the building number, but he might read this and kick my asss. he's a pretty big guy.. well he could kick my asss anyway.. and i have a pretty face, so i got to protect that. I've gotten this far on nothing but charm and i'm not trying to mess that up.

some people say stuff about the no walking on the grass, but i walk on the grass all the time. in fact i just did it today as i was dropping off the rent - in front of one of the super anti-terrorism cops. and they didn't say anything. so i'm thinking that's not a big deal.

the unit itself is in nice shape. i'm pretty sure i'm in a renovated one. nothing spectacular but nothing really crappy either. in fact it's all new stuff, so you can't really complain about that. i dont know about the maintenance stuff because we're pretty lazy and never call maintenance..

For example, we have had a problem with the toilets not filling up after flushing. it's kind of more of a pain in the second bathroom than the masters. for that reason i kind of havn't made a big deal about it - seems like it's more of my roomate's problem than my proble, wouldnt you agree' So anyway the guy hasn't called maintenace, so he can't really blame them about it.. and he isn't. so basically what i'm trying to say is i can't speak to the maintenance issue.

I just really find the parking situation annoying. Really that's the worst thing aboutt his place. AT first you think "oh it's not so bad" but then after a month or so you realize "this sucks ass" and wish you could move. So i'm writing this in hopes of saving someone that time/money it takes to come to this realization.

Also i agree with the fake post accusation. i totally think ------ ----- spends his time writing "i luv it" posts on apartment ratings.com.. hilarous!

Ehm... I don't recall if I've posted on this complex before but if you follow my profile, you'll see that I'm not ____ ____ :-D I like this place except for the boiler/cooling situation. I think you're a little overreacting about the parking situation, but that's just me. Anyhow, the man who runs the place (Jesse Shirley) is a really nice guy and runs a tight ship to keep the riffraff out. Just a tip: plan what you want to say and say it clearly; the above post sounded like a drunken tirade :-}
