Incredibly well-managed

First off, I'll say that this place takes care of business. They don't cut corners with maintenance, grounds upkeep or any of their policies (of which there are many).
Let's face it... in this area, you need STRICT policies to keep unneighborly people out. That's exactly what they do here. If you like laxer (') policies, go to the place next door that has only a 30% recommended rating. You can have cockroaches, over-occupied apartments, and excessive noise 24/7.
Yes, the parking restrictions are tough for visitors, and card-keyed vestibule doors are somewhat of a pain, but consider the alternatives (Never being able to find a space for your own car, 10 people living in the apartment above you).
I hear my neighbor occasionally, and that's because he's a "spirited" sports fan and watches them every day. :)
Pros:
Efficient management and maintenance staff
Exterior areas impeccably maintained (don't walk on the grass!)
Utilities included
No creaking floors because they have concrete between the levels
Renovated apartments include new appliances and washer/dryer
Two bathrooms in the 2BR apartments
Virtually NO bugs... I can count on one hand the number I've seen in a year here
Small but nice fitness center with newer equipment
Recommended for 20-35 age group since that is what most of your neighbors will be
You can rent a storage bin (4x4x8) in the basement for $15 a month
Bus stops right in front
Card keys and parking restrictions prevent over-occupancy (I'd rather live with this)
Cons:
Not recommended for those with children (not much area to play at all)
Not for those with pets (not allowed)
The 2BR apartments are somewhat smallish
Parking policy can be tough on guests
If you leave your card key in the apartment and office is closed, you are locked out
No pool
Overall, you will be hard-pressed to find a better value for the money in a Landmark area apartment. In "condo canyon", there is a lot of garbage up for rent (and for sale for that matter).
We are leaving to purchase a home, but would certainly stay here if we continued renting.
