Loved it back in '05, and would live there again if I could.

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
I shared an apartment there with my sister from 2005-2006, and liked it there. The grounds were well maintained, there were no kids running around, and there was security patrolling regularly. Repair requests were handled quickly (we rarely needed them because the appliances worked pretty decently). All basic utilities were included in the rent and there was a nice washer/dryer combo in the unit. (Cable/Internet were separate.)
My only issue was the noise the people who lived across the hall from us made. They'd blast salsa music all day and night and we could smell their funky food, but that's really a tenant issue as opposed to an apartment issue.
I'd live there again if I could, but an apartment on my own would be way out of my price range at over $1300. That, and though many bus lines connect to the Metro, I'd love to be walking distance to it (Van Dorn Station is a 20-25 minute walk).
