The rent hikes are insane. The place is starting to need massive updating. Unless you live on the top floor, it is very noisy.

Agreed. They do increase rent more than they should; around $100/month every time you renew the lease. The apartments are poorly constructed; I hear toilets flushing, doors being slammed shut, and late night activity (talking, walking, tv, etc.). Neighbors are mostly young and do not respect each other, but that is the Northern Virginia apartment community for you (I have lived in two other apartments). I plan to save money, and put a down payment on a house. I promised myself that I will never live in an apartment again. The only positives about the place: the apartment size, a deck, and the location. Oh, and Kim the assistant manager is the best.
