The main problem I had living here is trying to move out. Upon nearing my time for lease renewal, I was interested in just going month-to-month to move into a condo in, say 3 months. The month-to-month quote raised my rent 46%! My rent was $917 (it's now $959, 5% higher in accordance with Alexandria City Guidelines), but the month to month would have made it $1339! I got no love from the front office when I called to try to work something out, that's just the way it is. So now, when I do find that dream condo in the immediate area (ha), I'll have to pay a $959 lease break. Also, I can never find a space in my parking lot after 9 pm. The maintenance crew is very responsive, the swimming pool is decent, and the gym is acceptable for the price.
