DON'T DO IT!!!

Okay, I have lived in Foxchase for two years. My first year was back by the mgmt building and I really enjoyed it. It was safe, the apt was clean and my neighbors I didn't really even know because I never saw them. Then I moved to a 2BR on Duke St because I have a dog, and it has been a nightmare. First of all I have a neighbor whose son uses the fire exit as his own personal entrace to the apt., needless to say letting his friends in and out and leaving the back door open. Then there is the fact that there are homeless/drunks/drug dealers out at all hours of the night. My fiance works nights and often times come home to see all sorts of police cars in the area. In fact just yesterday a young guy was robbed at gun point in the back parking lot after coming home from work. Plus all of us dog owners constantly have stories about how the drug dealers in the neighborhood use the garbage can outside to hide their drugs. I know that this all sounds probably crazy, but its not, PLEASE take this advice, do not move in. If it is the only place you can afford, make sure that you move back towards Howard St. To top it off they are increasing the rent on renewals absurd amounts. There are definately places out there that are a lot better to live. Also, cleaning is a joke, we often times see the cleaning person hanging out in the laundry room. The leaves NEVER get raked until they are so wet and gross, and only the main walks get shoveled, forget the ones in the back that lead to the PARKING LOT!!!
