I'll start off with some good things.
- There is an activities Director. I love the yoga and kickboxing classes that I have taken as well as the community get-togethers.
- There is always parking
-Free shuttle to King St. metro
- Discounts to nearby stores as well as discount movie tickets
-Everyone is nice
- I have basement/1st floor apt and it stays generally cool in summer.
- New Harris Teeter right next to apt complex

Bad stuff
- I have had all sorts of bugs in my apartment, including these spider/cricket jumpy things. I have only seen 1 roach though.
- I had mold growing along the frame of my window sill. I live in the basement/1st floor apt. I don't think my apartment is sealed well. I should not have mold growing in my apartment. I called maintenence but I think they just painted over it.
- Actual apartment is not as well kept as the model they show you.
- There is a small window in the shower of the bathroom. I feel very conscious taking a shower when it is dark outside. There are venitian blinds in the window, but those get wet and mucky with the products you use in the shower.
-Since my apt is in the ground it gets very humid in the summer
- I can hear my neighbors above me using the bathroom. Sometimes it sounds like he/she stomps around the apt. It gets annoying.
- There is a standard 5% increase in rent after one year.
-Outside appearance of buildings could be better. The wood to the porch above me is mossy and rotting.

Also, I have know someone who lives in the two bedroom apt. The water pressure is really weak.

I lived at Foxchase from 2004-2006. I had the exact same problems living in the 1st floor apt. Mold, large crickets, bugs in general. Plus a rustling the kitchen that I assume was a mouse. The few weeks before I was scheduled to move out there was a flood in the basement of building. Awful! Never again. Plus too small for the money they are charging. I currently am looking for a new apt. after staying with friends. It is very helpful to have these reviews.
