I've been living here for about two years now. Initially, I didn't have any problems, so overall, things were okay. It was fairly quite in the building where I lived. We had a serious problem with squirrels. They had eaten their way between the walls. I lived on the fourth floor, which means that I was in the split level and I could hear the rodents beneath my bathtub. It was very disturbing at night b/c all you could hear was the scratching beneath the tub. Maintenance would set traps, but that never did anything. It was so bad that the rodents would climb to my balcony and crawl up and down my patio screen door. It was CRAZY. Animal control was of no help; not their responsibility. So, renters, beware of this rodent problem...who knows, I think if I hadn't addressed the issue when I did, I probably would have come home to the little rodents in my apartment. What else...ahhh...my refrigerator went out twice. It looked like maintenance grabbed another appliance from a different apartment; it wasn't even clean. We lost all of our food and were not reimbursed. Oh, did I mention that my dryer also went out twice''' Aside from the aforementioned issues, I never had a problem with parking, but someone did try to break in my car and my car was vandalized. If it were not for the new Harris Teeter shopping center nearby, Foxchase is one step from the ghetto. People throw their trash on the ground. Neighbors will leave the main lobby door propped so who knows who may be lurking in and around your building. YES, THEY DO TOW YOUR CARS. The rent is too expensive for what you get so you re definitely paying for location. I moved here to save a little money. Like I said before, I had no problems during the first 6 months of my lease, but as you can see, I m running like a bat out of hell.
