I am rather dissheartened in regards to Foxchase apartments after just my first week living there.The show apartment that the leasing office shows are a far cry from what I actually moved into.The appliances and fixtures are old and although that is different than what was presented I could deal with that.
The lighting was like that of an Exxon gas station bathroom and with the help of some halogen floor lamps that problem can be resolved in all but the kitchen. The main problem lies in the bathroom, and although the bottom of my tub is rough I can put a mat over that and resolve that issue. There isn t enough water to have a 15 minute shower remain hot and if you run the dishwater forget even a warm bath, I dred shaving because I know that I will be freezing. There is also a hole in the bathroom floor where it wasn t properly culked and a hole in the base of the bath tubs spicket. To make matters worse there is some sort of leak when I take a shower and the water leaks in bucket amounts onto my floor. It doesn t have anything to do with me as I have the shower curtain up. The water collected to the point that it flowed into a hole that is not supposed to be in the bathroom floor and the water soaked the carpet in my bedroom. If I were to continue to take showers my carpet will surely mold. I have called maintenece and they have not fixed it as of yet, I call Saturday and it is now Tuesday. I have no reason to give this place a bad rating other than so far it has not been up to par. I have lived at Southern Tower apartments and although that place had it s quarks I now wish I would have stayed there. There was plenty of hot water and no issues with the leaks or lighting. I can t believe this place has a rating of 42% recommended on apartment ratings because I would not recommend this place. I do not plan on renewing my lease a year from now.

Update I called regarding my leak on Saturday and the pictures I show are my apartment on Wed night.

Did you do a move in inspection? I got to see my apartment before I signed anything and it's on the elase- you have the right. It just isn't smart to sign a lease for a place you will be living in for 6 months to a year without seeing the actual apartment first- you aren't obligated to sign the lease if you don't like the apartment.
