OK - I am wondering if those who don't reccommend Foxwood have read the other reviews on this site. They are complaining about the utilities when other buildings are talking about RODENTS, CRIME, NOISE and some really NASTY environments.

Foxwood isn't perfect but I think it is one of the best deals in this area. Yes they do control the heat/air but they actually have turned them on earlier than scheduled when tenants requested it and I think a lot of the apartment buildings in this area follow the same practice. The utility bill does vary but in my opinion it isn't heinously overpriced and unlike other apartments the heat/air isn't constantly malfunctioning.

As for managagement and maintenance. I haven't had to deal to much with the new management people. The old group was pretty nice but I can't speak for these people. Maintenance however is great. They respond right away, they are courteous and leave the apartment as clean as they found it.

It is very true that leaks on the top floor are a problem. I lived on the top the floor my first year and although I didn't have a leak in my apartment I saw them in the hallway.

There are problems but OVERALL (and for the price) Foxwood is great. AMPLE PARKING, clean, quiet, pest controlled, no dogs allowed so no poop on the sidewalk or barking in the halls and in general tenants are at least courteous to each other (holding doors, helping each other with groceries etc). I will take the few problems Foxwood over ALL of the garbage some of these other places has in a heartbeat.
