General area - There is a juvenile correctional facility next door as well as some apparently lower income apartments. Myself and another resident have heard yelling and screaming coming from the surrounding area. A friend of mine was mugged in the apartments next doors. There is also a lot of loitering that goes on down the street. Its about a mile to the nearest metro (20 minute walk).

Parking - Lot is large and mostly well lit though there are some dangerous areas. Leaving the parking lot can be hazardous as it is hard to see people walking on the sidewalk when pulling out. The new management has just required parking permits, which is a pain for old residents who had guests over frequently. There are may be 20 visitor spots for the entire building.

Complex - Generally well constructed. Air quality is poor. I suffer from somewhat severe allergies and its been rather unpleasant. The air/heat is controlled by the management. The heat in the hallways is so high that I rarely turn on the heat in my apartment and most days have to open the windows to keep the temperature livable. The wind is also very bad/loud on the higher floors. The kitchen and bathroom are small. I can often hear the people above me, the windows opening, and doors in the hallway. Laundry is $1.50 for washing and $1.50 for drying. The prices were just raised and the washer and dryer were just replaced. However, the new washers and driers are not energy saving appliances. The other residents in the building are very nice.

Apparently, they are also renovating apartments.
