I've lived at Foxwood Place for a year now and can't say that I have had any serious problems. There is a different management company now than when I first signed my lease. I have to say I liked the original management staff much better. They were more friendly and helpful to the residents. Although I rarely interact with the new staff, the few times I have... they have come off rude and impersonal.

The apartments are pretty good size and well-kept. My main pet peeve would be the old appliances in the kitchen but even still everything I have works fine and I haven't had to get a repair. The management was in the process of upgrading many of the apartments which includes new appliances.

I've had minimal repair requests with my front door lock and things in the bathroom. Each time, I've reported my repair need and the problem was fixed the same day or the next day at the latest. The maintenance staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

The parking lot is not extremely large but there are always open spots regardless of the time. However, the new management has given everyone parking permits which makes the visitor parking very difficult. There is a tiny area with about 15 spots designated for visitors for the entire building and if another resident has a large function then all the spots are taken. If you are lucky there may a few street parking spots. I've never had an experience with the towing company but I see them patrolling at night.

Utilities are not included in the rent, which is a problem for me b/c at times the bill can be high. Water and ac/heat are not individually metered so if you're single and rarely home it can feel like you are paying for other people's usage. However, I've never had an issue with the apartment being too hot or too cold because the place is well insulated. During the winter, I rarely turned the heat on and the same for the summer.

Overall, I've had a good experience living here.

I am glad you have not had any major problems at Foxwood. I am leaving after 18 years and cannot recommend it. The only long term residents whom I know are remaining are residents who, for one reason or another, cannot or are not prepared to leave at this time.
