I lived in Foxwood Place Apartments for a year. I liked the apartment because of the location and the apartment look and feel. I wasn't charged depending on how high up in the building I was located and the laundry rooms used cards instead of lots of coins. When I first moved to these apartment there use to be police parked up the street and one also lived in the building and it made me feel secure that I could walk up the street and feel like I might not get robbed. Now once in a while there will be a police and when the police isn't sitting there there are all these people just hanging out on the street and blocking the walk way. I walk on the street to get to 7/11 just so that I don't have to deal with them saying stuff to me like why you walking on my street. I adjusted to the situation by not going to the store at night but then in the last 3 months people where getting shot down the street and in the apartments next door then in the party room in the building. I just feel like people should be more responsible for there guest. I was willing to live with all of that until they raised my rent 100 dollars. I asked them when I first got there around what percent was the rent going to go up and they said they could give me that information and that it would be sent in the mail. My raise at work does not go up 100 dollars so I couldn't afford my rent to go up 100 dollars and they could not nogociate so it was my time to go. If they don't have enough people to move in the building then they will raise your rent dramatically. I don't think that very fair but it was great living there I just wish I could have stayed there with out paying a arm & a leg.
