obviously at 804 a month for a studio you wont find much cheaper but this place is roach infested. i called about roach problems, and they were courteous about it. they told me the exterminator comes 1st and 3rd wednesday of the month, but the roaches are here to stay. i cant even cook in my own "home" because no sooner do I prepare a meal then do the roaches start flooding into my kitchen. i dont consider these fit for living conditions considering I cant even cook my own meals, i have to go and buy meals every time im hungry, but if that appeals to you then enjoy, cheers! in fact you can have my lease, take it over and I wont be charged a massive penalty when I move out! tommyc_msg@yahoo.com if interested

Tommy C - On Wednesday, April 4, 2007 we exterminated your apartment and all surrounding apartments. We contacted our contractor, Alexandria Pest Services, and asked that the owner investigate the situation himself. Alexandria Pest Services is a highly qualified and well respected extermination service and has had a long term contract with the City of Alexandria to treat all public areas. We also asked the Resident Manager and Property Manager to attend the meeting. Upon arriving, Alexandria Pest Services treated the public areas in front of 25 W. Glebe Road as well as the entire tier and the tiers on each side of your apartment. We then entered your apartment with the Resident Manager and Property Manager. In order to see the extent of the situation, the owner used a flushing agent behind the refrigerator (we pulled it out so that we could see behind it), in the cabinets, and in the bathroom. The flushing agent causes bugs to run and leave their hiding place. I am pleased to state we did NOT see one bug or any evidence of bugs. As you were especially concerned about your stove, we moved your stove, opened the oven door, and raised the stove top. Once again we did NOT find any bugs or evidence of any bugs. We treated all areas including behind the refrigerator, behind the stove, under your cabinets, and in your bathroom with a gel so that you need not worry about your possessions. The gel is more effective than a spray as it has a residual affect that lasts for months. As we did NOT find a problem, there is nothing we can do other than treat your apartment on a monthly basis. We will allow you to break your lease and move out with no penalty. You took us up on our offer. |

I lived there for six months and never saw a bug. I mean I never so much as saw a fly, let alone a roach in the building. The building is old, but clean and well kept.

I lived here and agree, ROACHES are a big problem with management simply denying they exist. I showed them the bugs and they claimed, oh, those aren't roaches their a different kind of bug so they aren't bugs. wth?
