Very reasonable staff, charming but older apartments

We rented here for 5 months, the staff was extremely accommodating when we had to go month to month during our renovations. The buildings were built in 1936 so they are obviously not modern but were well maintained and we found the older radiators and brick construction charming. The walls especially are built so sturdily that you couldn't hear our dog nor could we hear any of the neighbors almost ever (which is a nice surprise after living in much more modern apartments with much thinner walls). There is parking on the street around the apartment, once in 5 months we didn't find a spot within a block and had to park 3 blocks away, but every other evening we parked easily. There is a metro bus that picks up and drops off 2 blocks from here 12 times a day and goes straight to downtown DC as well as to 2 different metro stations, plus it's about a 15 minute walk to downtown Alexandria with tons of shops, restaurants, etc. All around we really enjoyed living here, it's a very nice complex and very well priced for the value.
