Ringing in the New Year.......with NO hot water!

I am writing this after getting out of a freezing cold shower. Awoke this morning to no hot water. And I've attempted to call the front desk/management multiple times to reprt this, only to get voicemail! Once I warm up, I'll go downstairs to see if I can find someone. Last time we had no hot water was a holiday weekend (the entire Vets Day weekend, if I recall correctly). Now on NYE, no hot water.

the 9/10 review was written by me, a resident since May.....after living in a once grand/now deteriorating complex, Halstead offered so much.....

I don't think anyone should be able to reserve the lounge. Its supposed to be there 24/7 for all residents to enjoy in peace. There are definetly some very undesirable people moving in. Are standards for credit checks, background, and checking of references being relaxed so management can sign more leases? I think so. I also think quality of service by management, maintenance, and the concierges is also declining.

A basic service like hot water is obviously not a priority for the management. I never thought I would pay such a high rent for cold showers. There is a 48 hour maintenance guarantee here but read the fine print....basic services like hot water is excluded.

I don't know if it helps or not, but I have not had a hot water problem. Not yesterday, not today, not ever. ?????

Maybe those who have not had a hot water problem are lucky enough to be located on those floors that aren't effected. I was told that certain floors, mainly those near the roof where the hot water pump is located, did not lose their hot water.
