Wonderful area, but walls are paper thin. :(

I just read another persons review of here, and it's true....nice location, good parking for yourself and for your guests, nice management staff (but don't let those free daily cooked yummy cookies fool you). I currently live on the top floor, so I'm fortunate I don't have to deal with upstairs neighbors, but yes, it's true, the walls are very thin. My roomate and I are good friends, but our rooms are right next to one another, so we hear everthing! I'm a night owl and she goes to bed early, so I feel like I have to constantly be ULTRA quiet. And no, those magnetic vent covers don't help either. Sound travels through the walls and through the vents. She gets woken up the bass from the stereo next door constantly & my boyfriend and I, well you know. We go to his place. We feel SO lucky to be able to hear our neighbor scream at the top of his lungs, at his daughter, while she cries hysterically. Not. We have ants occasionally, the balcony is nice, but you can also hear the loud children outside, through your windows. If you're saying "hello" to Hillwood, then say goodbye to your privacy.
