Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006
After looking all over alexandria, anandale, faifax, and kingstowne/Springfield...we finally settled on Hillwood.
the pros:
location--a quick safe walk to starbucks, blockbuster, mcdonalds, cvs, giant, thai food, and even clydes--only a couple minutes from 395, little river, and rte 7...its simple to get almost anywhere in the area
price--1585, with a free months rent for 3 good sized bedrooms, a kitchen with brand new appliances, washer and dryer, and large living room...The smallest bedroom fits a double bed, desk, and dresser comfortably...
parking--lots of parking, easy to get visitors passes
maintenance--always come to the place within a day, no real emergencies yet, but i suggest contacting whoever helped you sign your lease when you file a complaint...things seem to happen faster that way
thin walls'--I really can't hear my roommates when I'm in my room, but the apartments next to us have young guys in them and we can hear everything they say, it seems to be a mixture of young 20s and families...so there is a lot of noise from kids during the day and music on friday and saturday nights.
bugs--haven't seen one yet
Overall I'm happy...for the price and the location, i don't think we could have found better...but asking for an apartment on the top floor, with new appliances is a must. BuLYzGcKAVo8MQPlcXJq
