Not that bad, honestly

I have noticed some people are writing about very bad experiences. Whenever I dealt with the management staff, they were very helpful. The only problem I ran into was sometimes they wouldn't remember I paid rent, and thats easily fixed by getting a receipt when you drop off your check. That immediately takes care of the confusion and should be done anyway. I had very nice neighbors, who had children who were not loud unless I was walking past their apartment. I never heard them from inside my apartment. I never had a problem with people taking my assigned parking and my friends never had problems parking on the street. Sometimes they would have to park a few hundred feet down the road instead of right outside the building, but its a safe neighborhood and a small price to pay for free parking. My roommate took the shuttle to work every day and, granted, it was often tight on space, but then again, it was free.
For the price of these apartments in Northern Virginia of all places, this area is ideal for college students and young professionals. You cannot find something this close to the city and in this safe of an area for the prices Hillwood asks for rent.

Oh please. There isn't any assigned parking. It is a parking lot. You have a sticker. There are no assigned spaces. The tenats in the complexes have gotten louder in the last year, the children have grown more unruly and the acts of vandalism (broken signs, trash in the parking lots, etc) have been on the increase.
