My husband and I have almost been here a year. We have had no problems with bugs or mice like the other people have been saying. There is a curious squirrel that lives in the tree outside my balcony, but it doesn't bother us, as long as we don't leave food outside when we are not there. And he does give my cats something to look at.
Yes, the laundry facilities don't always work, it's expensive, and I HATE going to the basement, but we chose a unit that did not have a washer or dryer in it.
Most of the time there is parking - it's only when we come home late at night we sometimes have to park any where that is not directly in front of our building.
Yes, sometimes the trash is overflowing, but I always see the garbage men coming. It seems like there are here a lot.
We haven't had any maintenance problems, so I have nothing to comment there.
Yes, there are a lot of ethnic people living here, but everyone I've ever seen in passing (and my neighbors) are all friendly. I feel safe living here, haven't worried about my car, and am never nervous of walking in the dark.
Our lease will be up soon, but I think we are just going to transfer to a larger apartment (one with a washer/dryer in the unit) in the complex. The leasing agent we talked to about transferring (Brian, maybe) was very nice and helpful.
The only real complaint I have is sometimes the people above us play loud music at night, but this happens only every few months when the are having a party.
