After four years I'm moving out. Why' The buildings are owned by the Virginia Department of Transportation, which has little regard for the general safety of residents and the upkeep of the building.( If you read a positive review of this apt on this site it's probably from an employee. Beware!) Pile driving (which is louder than being in the front row of a rock concert) is a regular fixture here. Construction goes on at all hours and it is unsafe to walk to Old Town. Further, since VDOT took over ownership, simple maintenance requests, such as an unclogged sink or broken smoke detector, go unrepaired. Staff is downright mean. A telephone pole in front of one of the buildings was damaged months ago by construction but instead of fixing the pole, they let the power lines hang dangerously low. The grounds of the buildings, which were once nice, are now strewn with garbage. Also, at the terrace buildings, across the street from the towners and also owned by VDOT, the constant shaking of the buildings from construction caused ceilings to collapse. Reduced rent is not worth seriously compromised safety.

BULL! POINT OF ISSUE, IF YOU ARE WORKING ALL DAY/OR NOT AND THE NOISE IS TEMP! AND FOR CONTINUED IMPROVEMENTS... IT'S ALL-GOOD. GIVE WAY!
PS. I HAVE EXPERIENCED NO PROBLEMS, EXCELLENT LOCATION AND STAFF! SIGNED HAPPY RESIDENT

I agree with cesar21t. I live in Huniting Point and don't even notice the noise. I have never noticed "rodents" outside besides squirrels, I have never seen garbage strewn about and I haven't dealt with any "mean" employees.

This guys are both employees. I am a current resident and I agree with verybadapt. The maintenance has gone down, safety has gone dramatically down, and constant noise. The two guys above are VDOT employees or construction employees who are the only people who live in the buildings.
