Hunting Point on the Potomac

Not an employee AND very happy w/Hunting Point From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 7/5/2002 Years at this apartment: 2000 - 2004   I've lived in Hunting Towers since July of 2000 and actually find the staff MUCH better and more accomodating than when it was privately owned. The noise is not intolerable at all and I sit out on my patio all the time and am not bothered by it; construction is preformed during regular daytime hours during the week. VDOT has done everything possible to ensure the safety of its tenants and properly compensate them for any inconveniences. Honest downsides: public transportation is not the best with buses connecting to Braddock station it makes for a long commute; public garbage shoots on each floor smell and get congested too often; building office hours close too early in my opinion, but they are no different than the industry standard around here; and the building exterior doors seem to be overwrought with use and frequently broken. Positives: The view over the Potomac is spectacular and just try to find that anywhere else in VA for the price you're paying at the Towers; the convenience store in the West Tower is very convenient; the laundry rooms have just been updated with all new washers and dryers that seem to really work now; the staff coordinates several socials for residents to meet and while I've never attended it's a great gesture; several of the maintenance staff does live on grounds and someone is on call 24-hours a day and you get help from a real person when you really need it; and while for years parking was a problem without having enough spots since construction built new lots I've never had a problem finding a place for my car (though I would like to see it better lit)!
