I live in the surrounding community and have been the liaison with the new owners of the Huntington Gardens apartments. The new owners bought the apartments about two years ago and completely gutted them. They are now completing their renovation and beginning to lease the apartments again. I have toured the units and seen the remodeling. Everything has been replaced--I mean everything--and the remodeling has transformed these apartments. These are now very nice places to live in a wonderful and vibrant community that is walking distance to the Huntington Metro station.

It should also be noted that prior to the sale two years ago, all the old tenants were allowed to have their leases expire. This--plus dramatic changes in the surrounding area in the last 5 years--has transformed the community. There is now an active community association and you will now find people walking their dogs, children riding their bikes, and residents stopping to talk to their neighbors. It is a safe and nice community.
